About the role
There are three 8-12 bedded Critical Care units across the health board and a Post Anaesthetic Care Unit (PACU) at our Royal Glamorganhospital. Our department includes a Pain Management service supported by pain nurses, providing services for acute and chronic painmanagement with weekly interventional lists. Our Pre-Operative Assessment service has won numerous national awards for its innovativeapproach and quality improvement projects and is leading the way in the standardisation and improvement of Pre-Operative services acrossWales.You will be joining us at an exciting time for the organisation as we develop regional diagnostic and day surgery facilities at Llantrisant HealthPark at our Royal Glamorgan site for the communities of South East Wales; Clinical Leadership for this programme is provided by one of ourConsultant Anaesthetists.Secretarial support and office space is provided on each of our hospital sites, staff have access to meeting and training rooms and restfacilities. Hot desking facilities and library facilities are provided within each site and laptops are available for remote access working. There isfree parking on all sites and lease cars are available via the NHS Wales Salary Sacrifice scheme
