SPECIALTY DOCTOR IN Adult Intensive Home Based Treatment Psychiatry, Kirklees, Folly Hall Mills, Huddersfield, HD1 3LT Permanent, full time, 10 Programmed Activities per week plus on-call (part time may be considered) South West Yorkshire Partnership Teaching Foundation Trust are recruiting for a Specialty Doctor to join the Adult Intensive Home-Based Treatment Team Folly Hall Mills, St. Thomas Road, Huddersfield, HD1 3LT. This role plays a vital part in ensuring our patients receive the care that they need and will be an integral role within the Calderdale and Kirklees acute pathway.

Person specification

Essential

Holds and will use valid UK driving licence OR provides evidence of proposed alternative.
Smart professional appearance.
MB BS or equivalent medical qualification.
Fully registered with the GMC and have a licence to practise or Must have checked GMC eligibility and commenced the application process at the time of NHS jobs application.
Approved under S12 OR able to achieve within 6 months of appointment.
Spent a minimum of four years (full time or equivalent) in postgraduate medical experience in the UK or equivalent medical experience. At least 2 years experience in psychiatry.
Excellent knowledge in specialty.
Excellent clinical skills using bio-psycho-social perspective and wide medical knowledge.
Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
Able to manage clinical complexity and uncertainty.
Makes decisions based on evidence and experience including the contribution of others.
Able to meet duties under MHA and MCA.
Able to provide clinical leadership to a multi-professional team and liaise with a wide variety of agencies.
Able to deliver undergraduate or postgraduate teaching and training.
Participated in continuous professional development.
Participated in research or service evaluation.
Able to use and appraise clinical evidence.
Has actively participated in clinical audit and quality improvement programmes.
Demonstrates emotional intelligence and leadership skills.
Able to work flexibly and efficiently prioritise conflicting demands.
Able to effectively manage time and resources within a team.
Able to use electronic records.
Commitment to annual appraisal and revalidation.

Desirable

Qualification or higher degree in medical education, clinical research or management.
MRCPsych.
Additional clinical qualifications.
In good standing with GMC with respect to warning and conditions on practice.
