Consultant in Anaesthesia

We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic Consultant Anaesthetist to join our established & a supportive Anaesthetic Department at Queen's Hospital Burton. This is a great opportunity to join a friendly and experienced consultant team, working across a broad and varied range of anaesthetic practice. Queen's Hospital Burton provides anaesthetic services across general surgery, trauma and orthopaedics, obstetrics, gynaecology, ENT, maxillofacial, paediatrics, urology & ophthalmology, providing plenty of variety as well as opportunities to develop individual specialist interests. We have a strong multidisciplinary approach & place real importance on education, training, clinical governance and continuous improvement. Consultants are encouraged to contribute to service development, quality improvement, teaching & research, with scope to develop their own areas of interest within the needs of the department. It is also an exciting time to join us. We are continuing to develop our elective surgical services at Burton and have ambitions to progress our surgical hub accreditation, creating opportunities for the successful applicant to be involved in shaping and developing services rather than simply joining an established rota. We would particularly welcome applicants who want to become an active part of the department, bringnew ideas and help us continue to improve the services we provide for patients across Burton upon Trent and the surrounding area.
