Clinical Fellow - Urology

Airedale NHSFT is seeking to appoint a Clinical Fellow in Urology for an initial period of one year, with the possibility of extension subject to satisfactory progress. This post is ideally suited to prospective ST3 applicants who intend to apply for a National Training Number. Successful candidates will be supported to expand, enhance, & progress their development toward a career in Urology. Experience and familiarity with UK hospital systems & clinical practice, or equivalent, is desirable. This post is well suited to candidates seeking further clinical experience & portfolio development within a supportive environment. We expect applicants to have experience equivalent to ST3-level registrar, & we will provide guidance toward NTN Urology applications as required. Overseas applicants must be eligible for GMC registration & must have passed the IELTS with a minimum overall score of 7.5. This must be clearly stated on the application. The successful candidate will contribute to the delivery of both elective & emergency urology services, including outpatient clinics, diagnostics, & core urological procedures. Exposure will be available in core urology, a wide range of BOO surgery, PCNLs, laparoscopic nephrectomy, paediatric urology, and flexible ureterorenoscopy with laser. There will also be opportunities to participate in quality improvementprojects, audits, & teaching for both departmental staff & undergraduate students.
