Barking, Havering and Redbridge University Hospitals NHS Trust (BHRUT) is expanding its forward-looking Geriatrics services and is seeking enthusiastic Consultant Geriatricians to join the team. These posts offer flexibility and breadth. Applications are welcomed from general Geriatricians and from consultants with sub-specialty interests, including Dementia, Delirium, Orthogeriatrics, Medical Education, Research and Movement Disorders. You will work across acute and community settings, supporting service transformation for older people across North East London. The role spans Acute Geriatrics services at Queen's and King George Hospitals and the Ageing Well Centre at St George's Health and Wellbeing Hub. The department is looking at ways to improve care for Frail and Older patients (and reduce the phenomenon of Corridor Care) and so the post goes beyond traditional ward based care and provides real scope to develop services, pathways, partnerships, education, and population-level outcomes for frail older adults.
