Locum Consultant in Older People’s Services

We are seeking to appoint a locum Consultant Physician/Geriatrician in Older People Services. We welcome applicants with established geriatric experience but would consider those with general medical qualifications and some experience and passion for geriatric medicine. This is a fixed term to cover maternity leave . The posts offer an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic and welcoming consultant team, with ample support provided to new consultants and those with less geriatric experience. These posts will be based at Royal London Hospital we have a 52 bedded acute geriatrics ward. The successful candidate would be expected to manage a proportion of these patients independently, play an active role in the multi-disciplinary team and be part of the discharge planning process. They would be expected to cover falls and general out patient clinicWe welcome requests for flexible or less than full time working You require full registration with the General Medical Council with the licence to practice and an established career and training pathway within the NHS is essential.
