Clinical Fellow ST3+ in ICM w/ special interest in Echocardiography

Day-to-day care of patients on the adult neurosurgical and general Critical Care units. Full-time including participation in a full shift rota system (48 hours per week). Applications are invited for appointment to Senior Clinical Fellow with specialist interest in Echocardiography (ST4+ or equivalence) for a Fixed Term period from August 2026 for 12 months. The post is solely based at the Royal Sussex County Hospital, Brighton.

This is an excellent opportunity for those who are looking to increase their experience in a busy tertiary intensive care unit and gain qualifications and experience in echocardiography either pre or post CCT. The job would also be suitable for those working through the certificate of eligibility for specialist registration (CESR) route to certificate of completion of training in intensive care medicine. This is a fantastic opportunity to train in echocardiography and we are able to support accreditation in FUSIC, and both BSE Level 1 and 2. Posts can be extended up to 2 years for BSE Level 2 completion with mutual agreement. It is anticipated that about 20% of daytime activity will be protected for training in echocardiography on both the intensive care and in outpatient echocardiography lists.
