About the role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for one year fixed term appointment as a robotic exenteration fellow in open and robotic pelvic cancer surgery. Based in Chelsea the successful candidate will spend 4 months in each of three specialties - Urology, Colorectal and Gynae Oncology, to start in October 2026.
The fellow will have the opportunity to complete da Vinci robotic simulation training and formal wet lab ' console' training courses. This role will allow the trainee to train in robotic and open radical cystectomy/prostatectomy, anterior/posterior/total pelvic exenteration and complex colorectal resections.
Fellows will participate in the surgical management of patients undergoing pelvic cancer surgery and collaborate with other members of the MDT in their peri-operative management. In addition, abundant research opportunities and mentorship will be available to the appointed candidate.
Applicants should have previous experience in higher surgical training with FRCS/FRCSOG or equivalent. All appointments are conditional on satisfactory medical screening.
