Physician Assistant

Dr Mahbub's Surgery, Brace Street Health Centre is seeking to recruit an enthusiastic, committed and caring Physician Assistant to join our busy but friendly, single handed GP Practice. We are looking for a PA to work closely alongside our GP Partner and Sessional GPs. This is a full time post, with A&C equivalent pay.

The PA will provide care for the presenting patient from initial history taking and clinical assessment through to the diagnosis, treatment and evaluation of care (under supervision). They will demonstrate critical thinking in the clinical decision-making process, including assessment and diagnostic skills, leading to the delivery of safe care for all patients. They will work collaboratively with the healthcare team to meet the needs of the patients, supporting the delivery of policy and procedures. The PA will be expected on a typical day to consult with patients who present on the day and via booked appointments, both acute and chronic cases and may consult face to face, by telephone and online by eConsult or similar. Dr Mahbub's surgery is based at Brace Street Health Centre (63 Brace Street, Walsall WS1 3PS), which is a purpose-built building with on-site parking, providing primary care for Caldmore and surrounding areas serving approximately 3500 patients. We are a single handed GP Practice lead by Dr Mahbub. We have two further locum GPs, one Practice Nurse and one PA and PCN/ARRS staff, supported by a team of admin/reception staff.
