Consultant in Specialist Palliative Care

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Consultant in Palliative Medicine to join our established and highly motivated Specialist Palliative Care Team at Aneurin Bevan University Health Board. Based at the St David's Hospice Inpatient Unit in Newport, you will play a central role in delivering high-quality, person-centred care across our inpatient unit and within our wider community palliative care services. The successful candidate will provide expert leadership within a multidisciplinary environment, including consultant ward rounds, inpatient MDTs, and community-based support to local specialist palliative care teams. You will share clinical governance of the inpatient unit, contribute to the education and supervision of junior and specialty doctors, and participate in a telephone advice on-call rota (post-induction).
