To be part of a team providing specialist Paediatric Clinical Genetics services across the Wessex region, including triaging referrals, conducting genetics clinics, advising acute and specialist teams on rare and complex genetic disorders, interpreting genomic testing results, and supporting diagnosis and family management for inherited conditions. Provision of Cancer and/or Cardiac Genetic services may also be considered, depending on the skills of the candidate and in line with the needs of the department. The role also contributes to teaching, training, audit, and service development within an integrated regional genomics and laboratory network. The department has strong relationships with a wide range of hospital specialties, supporting multidisciplinary care for patients with complex and rare genetic conditions across both paediatric and adult services.
