About the role
Applications are invited for the post of Substantive Consultant in Histopathology. There are several posts available for the successful applicants, with potential job-sharing or less than full-time appointments. The successful applicant would join a team of 32 consultants. We work in an oligo-specialist setting - colleagues are encouraged to take part in 2-3 subspecialties, becoming part of the respective teams. In preparation for the approaching retirement of our perinatal Pathologist colleague, we especially welcome applicants with experience in paediatric/perinatal Pathology, or those willing to undertake speciality training provided in collaboration with training centres. Applications from colleagues with skin and GI specialisation are also welcomed, though other subspecialty interests can be accommodated. Our vision is to create a large and diverse department to provide individuals with personalised and flexible working patterns to support their professional interests and development. We welcome all applications irrespective of age, disability, gender, sexual orientation, race or religion. Additionally, people with disabilities will be offered an interview providing they meet the minimum criteria for the post. The Trust operates job share and flexible working.
