This post is required to fill a replacement post within the Haematology and Oncology Department at Leeds Teaching Hospitals
This is an exciting opportunity to join the paediatric haematology and oncology team at Leeds Childrens Hospital, based at Leeds General Infirmary. This is for substantive appointment as a Consultant in Paediatric Haematology, with special interests in Malignant Haematology & Stem Cell Transplantation.
This post will deliver 10PAs supporting the Paediatric Malignant Haematology and Stem Cell Transplant teams.
Applicants should have established skills in Paediatric Haematology and specifically in stem cell transplant and malignant haematology. Excellent communication and team working skills and a strong commitment to undergraduate and postgraduate teaching are required and a research interest is desirable.
If Shortlisted for Interview you will be required to give a 10 minute presentation on
"Challenges in paediatric stem cell transplantation over the next 5 years".

We are looking for an enthusiastic consultant to join the current Paediatric Haematology Consultants with a focus on Malignant Haematology and Stem Cell Transplantation. The successful applicant should possess MBChB (or equivalent) and should be included on the Specialist Register or within 6 months of CCT at the time of interview, if currently within a training programme within the UK. In accordance with the consultant appointment regulations, all other categories of doctors must be on the Specialist Register.
