About the role
We are looking for an enthusiastic and highly motivated General Practitioner to join our growing salaried GP Team. As a valued member of our practice, you will be directly employed and work within a continuity of care model, managing your own registered patient list. You will be primarily based at one site and will be required to work as part of a rota to provide urgent care cover as Duty GP. As a large, well-established partnership, we offer stability and security at a time of uncertainty within NHS General Practice. We are a large training practice, supporting learners at all stages of their careers. We pride ourselves on being a supportive practice, and successful candidates will benefit from mentorship and guidance from an experienced GP Partner. Sessions Required: Four to six sessions per week. Please note that we will only be accepting applications through this platform. Applications submitted via recruitment agencies will not be considered. Should this vacancy attract sufficient interest it may be necessary to close the vacancy at an earlier date. We therefore encourage interested candidates to apply as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.
As quality of life is important, we structure our workload and work collaboratively to manage daily demand. Our Duty Day system is led by our Allied Healthcare Professionals in the Urgent Care Team, with support from a Duty GP, while maintaining the need for continuity of care. GPs manage their own patient lists, which are appropriately stratified to allow them to focus on continuity, while the Urgent Care Team manages workload where acute care is favoured. The post holder will be expected to carry out the full range of duties and responsibilities associated with a General Practitioner working within primary care, in line with the requirements of relevant regulatory and standard-setting bodies. In accordance with the agreed practice timetable, the post holder will undertake a variety of clinical and non-clinical responsibilities, including but not limited to those outlined in the job description.
