Salaried GP

Job summary Are you a GP looking for an exciting and supportive role to launch/further your career? An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Bolton Community Practice team. We are a busy GP surgery with four sites across Bolton delivering GP services to a population of over 16,000 patient's. We are an EMIS Web practice. The practice is seeking an enthusiastic salaried GP for up to 4 sessions per week. Please note that applicants must be available to work 2 sessions on a Friday

Main duties of the job In general the post-holder will be expected to undertake all the normal duties and responsibilities associated with a GP working within primary care including:

Undertaking a variety of duties including surgery consultations, telephone consultations and queries, e-consultations, checking and signing repeat prescriptions and dealing with queries, paperwork and correspondence in a timely fashion Making professional, autonomous decisions in relation to presenting problems, whether self-referred or referred from other health care workers within the organisation Assessing the health care needs of patients with undifferentiated and undiagnosed problems Screening patients for disease risk factors and early signs of illness Developing care plans with patients in line with current practice disease management protocols Referring to other care providers as appropriate Recording clear and contemporaneous consultation notes to agreed standards
