Essential

Meets professional health requirements in line with GMC Standards/ Good Medical Practice
Full GMC Registration and Licence to Practice
MBBS or equivalent
MRCP, MRCPCH by examination or equivalent
Must be on GMC's Specialist Register or be within 6 months of receiving it at the time of interview.
Ability to independently undertake specialist medical assessments, investigations and clinical management of patients with Neurodevelopmental / Neurodisability related problems
Is able to demonstrate having achieved the competencies equivalent to the Highest Specialist Paediatric Training
Valid Level 3 Safeguarding Training
Valid BLS Training
Practises with the professional values and behaviours expected of all doctors as set out in GMC Good Medical Practice and the Generic Professional Capabilities Framework
Adheres to professional requirements, participating in annual appraisal, job planning and reviews of performance and progression
Awareness of their leadership responsibilities as a clinician and demonstrates appropriate leadership behaviour; managing situations that are unfamiliar, complex or unpredictable and seeking to build collaboration with, and confidence in, others

Higher degree e.g. MSc, MD or other higher degree
Experience in other areas relevant to Community Child Health e.g. General Practice, Child Mental Health, Public Health, Paediatric Neurology, Paediatric Neurodisability
Specialist experience in one or more particular areas of Community Child Health practice to take on a lead role
Completion of leadership courses
Evidence of effective leadership
Evidence of teaching and training of medical students or trainees or allied health professionals
Participation in research training courses or recruitment for NIHR research studies
Presentation/publication of conference abstract
