Consultant Psychiatrist

Mildmay Oaks £162,791 per annum Full-time 37.5 hours per week

Mildmay Oaks is looking for a Consultant Psychiatrist to join our established clinical team in Hook, Hampshire. This is an opportunity to play a key role in the assessment, treatment and recovery of patients within a specialist low-secure and rehabilitation setting.

The service supports male and female patients across a range of needs, including learning disabilities, autism, adult and CAMHS services, and bespoke therapeutic placements.

As a Consultant Psychiatrist, you will provide clinical responsibility and take overall responsibility for assessing, treating, and caring for patients. Working closely with the multidisciplinary team, you will ensure care is safe, effective, person-centred and focused on recovery.

You will also: Take clinical responsibility for patients, leading ward rounds, risk reviews and treatment planning. Act as Responsible Clinician for patients detained under the Mental Health Act (1983). Lead psychiatric assessments, support admissions and provide specialist clinical advice to the multidisciplinary team. Contribute to clinical governance, service development and strategic planning. Supervise and support junior medical staff and contribute to teaching and training. Maintain your own CPD and revalidation requirements.
