About the role
Medical Psychotherapy Tutor:The postholder will be responsible for the organisation, delivery and governance of psychotherapy training for trainees in psychiatry placed with CWPT, working in collaboration with the Director of Medical Education and other key stakeholders. Consultant Liaison Psychiatrist :The service accepts referrals of patients of all ages over 17. The Consultant will be based at Warwick Hospital for the psychotherapy work but there will be an expectation that the consultant will work flexibly across the following acute sites:University Hospital Coventry (UHCW) -1250 bedsGeorge Elliot Hospital (GEH) - 352 bedsSouth Warwick Hospital (SWFT) - 350 bedsCentral England Rehabilitation UnitSt Cross Hospital andother community hospitals in the catchment area when required.
Medical Psychotherpay Tutor The post holder will: Ensure that all core trainees have the opportunity to complete the psychotherapy requirements of the core curriculum. Advise and support core and higher trainees in their learning by reviewing progress in psychotherapy. Oversee the establishment and running of the core trainee Balint or case based discussion group(s.
