MRCOG or equivalent
Full doctors GMC registration with Licence to Practise
Two appropriate ATSMs or Equivalence in Obstetrics and Gynaecology
Possesses training and education skills to teach junior medical, nursing and midwifery staff
Demonstrates Leadership qualities
Provides learning opportunities within the clinical environment
Demonstrates Leadership qualities Provides learning opportunities within the clinical environment
Wide general gynaecological and obstetric training
Confidence in performing major gynaecology surgery and intermediate minimal access gynaecological surgery Management of high risk labour ward
Excellent communication skills both oral and written
Ability to establish good working relationships with staff and be able to communicate well with patients.
Supportive and nurturing towards junior medical, midwifery and nursing workforce

Desirable

Candidates should ideally be on the Specialist Register
Experience in Advanced minimal access surgery or total laparoscopic hysterectomy will be beneficial
Training and interest in Clinical governance
Willingness to seek timely assistance from colleagues and discuss clinical issues when appropriate
Training (and preferably accreditation) in another area of specialisation such as laparoscopy, ambulatory hysteroscopy, maternal medicine and/ or gynaecology scanning
