About the role
Emergency Medicine in East Kent Hospitals is at an exciting period of redevelopment, having attracted national investment to rebuild both Emergency Departments at William Harvey Hospital, Ashford and Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother Hospital, Margate.
Our Emergency Departments provide innovative and fast paced integrated emergency care to a wide range of patients from East Kent. It is our inspiration to develop into an academic and research unit in emergency medicine for Kent. The Emergency Departments, one at the William Harvey Hospital (WHH), Ashford and the other at the Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother Hospital (QEQMH), Margate, each offer a full 24 hour emergency service. The Emergency Departments are supported by co-located Urgent Treatment Centres, a 24 hour UTC at the Kent and Canterbury Hospital with a further 7 community UTCs in the region
