Salaried General Practitioner

We are seeking applications for a Salaried General Practitioner to join our supportive and forward-thinking team at Firdale Medical Centre on a maternity cover basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a GP who is passionate about delivering high-quality, patient-centred care while working within a collaborative environment where your ideas and contributions are valued. This post is for 3 days per week Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays with an immediate start available. Due to service requirements, we are looking to appoint as soon as possible and would therefore encourage early applications.

The postholder will provide comprehensive primary care services to the practice population, managing a diverse range of clinical presentations across all age groups. Key responsibilities include: Providing routine and urgent GP consultations (face-to-face, telephone, and digital where appropriate) Assessing, diagnosing, and managing acute and chronic medical conditions Prescribing safely in accordance with local and national guidelines Delivering preventative care and health promotion Maintaining accurate, contemporaneous clinical records Participating in practice clinical meetings and quality improvement activities Working collaboratively within the multidisciplinary team to deliver integrated care Supporting teaching and training where appropriate Contributing to the development of practice services Participating in clinical governance and maintaining professional standards
