About the role
Our present Skin cancer lead is reducing hours but will be available for mentoring during the first 12months We are seeking a motivated and forward-thinking clinician to join our small but dynamic Dermatology Department, a team with a long-standing reputation for delivering high-quality care. This is an exceptional opportunity to play a key role in the development and enhancement of our skin service. Kettering has a strong history of excellence in skin cancer provision, supported by a dedicated team including two Cancer Nurse Specialists. The department has consistently performed well across all GIRFT measures, particularly within cancer waiting time standards. o This role offers a unique opportunity to help integrate and strengthen skin cancer pathways across Kettering and Northampton, supporting the development of a streamlined, high-quality one-stop service for our patients across the county.
-Leading and coordinating multidisciplinary team (MDT) meetings. --Undertaking operating sessions and contributing to teaching activities related to skin cancer. -Working closely with our two Skin Cancer Nurse Specialists to identify areas for service improvement and to support the management of the skin cancer patient pathway. opportunities to run specialist clinics in other dermatology areas. Strong general dermatology skills are essential, as you may be required to supervise non-cancer clinics. Subject to deanery discussions, there may also be opportunities to supervise specialist registrars.
