Essential

Eligible for full registration with the GMC at time of appointment and hold a current licence to practise
Relevant CCT or equivalent [equivalence must be confirmed by PMETB/GMC by date of GMC].
Entry on the GMC specialist register or eligibility for entry within 6 months of the date of AAC.
MRCOG or appropriate specialist qualification
RCOG ATSM in Paediatric and Adolescent Gynaecology
Clinical Training and experience in general obstetrics and gynaecology equivalent to that required of a UK CCST
Substantial clinical experience in paediatric and adolescent gynaecology including management of adolescent and adults with complex congenital conditions such as Differences of Sex Development (DSD/intesex) and complex mullerian anomalies.
Experience in assessment and clinical examination of children with Female Genital Mutilation (FGM) or suspected FGM.
Excellent skills in management of complex congenital gynaecological conditions including DSD/intersex.
Surgical expertise in vaginal reconstruction for mullerian anomalies and DSD.
Good knowledge of the aetiology, diagnosis and management of common and complex PAG conditions.
Leadership skills to take forward service developments
Good organisational and management skills.
Ability to act within the clinical Governance framework of the NHS.
Computing and IT skills.
Excellent teaching and training ability.
Experience of supervising junior medical staff.
Good leadership skills
Ability to communicate with clarity and intelligently in written and spoken English
ability to build rapport, listen and negotiate with colleagues, patients, relatives, GPs, nurses and other agencies.

RCOG ATSM in benign abdominal gynaecology surgery (open/laparoscopic)
Experience in medical and surgical management of complex PAG cases including complex vaginal septae and vaginal reconstruction.
Broad range of operating skills in PAG including vaginoscopy, vaginal and clitoral reconstruction, complex vaginal septae.
Surgical treatment of FGM in under 16s eg. deinfibulation, clitoral retention cysts.
Evidence of management and administration experience.
Research record in the field of PAG. Supervision of clinical research fellows.
Outside interests.
