About the role

Care Plus Group (CPG) works in partnership with Navigo and Faraway, a Peer-Led Organisation, to deliver Neurodiversity Services for people with Learning Disabilities and Autistic people within North East Lincolnshire and across the Humber TCP. These services aim to meet the unique needs of these populations through the provision of various Assessment and Treatment, Intervention and Support Pathways using a Psychology-led, Multi-Disciplinary, needs-led, person-centred approach and Peer-Led Offer. The Adult Neurodiversity Services (ANDS) based at Val Waterhouse Centre in Grimsby comprise of an Intensive Support Team (IST), Forensic Outreach Liaison Service (FOLS), Adult Autism Service (AAS) and an ADHD Service. Faraway is also based here and works in partnership with the statutory services. You will join a well-established specialist community service within the Adult Neurodiversity Services in North East Lincolnshire and to provide specialist Clinical Psychology input to support service users within the Adult Autism Service. We work in partnership with other organisations such as Navigo and Young Minds Matter developing All-Age Neurodiversity Services locally to provide a person centred approach and a needs led clinical model. Person specification

Essential

Postgraduate doctoral level training in clinical psychology (or its equivalent for those trained prior to 1996) as accredited by the BPS, including specifically models of psychopathology, clinical psychometrics, and neuropsychology, two or more distinct psychological therapies and lifespan developmental psychology.
To be registered as a Practitioner Psychologist with the HCPC in the UK.
Post-doctoral training in one or more additional specialised areas of psychological practice.
A qualified clinical psychologist with assessed experience of working in the field of clinical psychology for a minimum of four years, including at least 3 years experience working within Neurodiversity services.
Experience of working in multi-professional teams or services within the field of Learning Disabilities/ Autism and/or ADHD.
Experience of working with a wide variety of client groups, across the whole life course and presenting with the full range of clinical severity across the full range of care settings including outpatient, community, primary care, in-patient and residential care settings including maintaining a high degree of professionalism in the face of highly emotive and distressing problems, verbal abuse, and the threat of physical abuse.
Experience of exercising clinical responsibility for a clients psychological care and treatment, both individually and within the context of a multi-disciplinary care plan.
Experience of providing service-user led services.
Experience of teaching and training other staff.
Able to transport yourself and others around the area.
Able to be flexible with working hours.
Able to work in partnership with individuals, families, supporters, other professionals, services and agencies.
Doctoral level knowledge of clinical psychology including highly developed knowledge of lifespan developmental psychology, models of psychopathology, clinical psychometrics, and neuropsychology, and two or more distinct psychological therapies.
Highly developed knowledge of the theory and practice of specialised psychological therapies, particularly in people with Learning Disabilities/ Autism and/or ADHD.
Experience of working in multi-professional teams or services within the field of Neurodiversity services.
Skills in the use of complex methods of psychological assessment intervention and management frequently requiring sustained and intense concentration.
A high-level ability to communicate effectively at both a written and oral level complex, highly technical and clinically sensitive information to individuals, their families, support staff and a wide range of lay and professional persons within and outside the NHS.
Experience of providing either professional and/or clinical supervision.
Effective IT skills including use of M365 applications, including but not limited to Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Word.

Desirable

To be a chartered member (or working towards chartered status) of the British Psychological Society; a member of the Division of Clinical Psychology and the Faculty of Learning Disability.
A member of other organisations relevant to the field of Autism, such as NAS.
Experience of working in multi-professional teams or services within the field of Learning Disabilities/Autism and/or ADHD.
Experience of undertaking relevant practice-based research within the field of Learning Disabilities/Autism and/or ADHD.
Experience of providing either professional and/or clinical supervision.
