Barts Health NHS Trust Clinical Support Services Imaging Service Group Consultant Radiologist with a subspecialty interest in Genitourinary (GU) Radiology 10 PA's The advertised post is for a full-time Consultant Radiologist with a subspecialty interest in Genitourinary (GU) Radiology. This is a new post developed to support the expanding urology service at Whipps Cross Hospital, which serves as the urology hub for Barts Health NHS Trust. The post holder will support increasing demand in uro-oncology and complex urology pathways, working closely with surgical teams undertaking specialist procedures including percutaneous nephrolithotomy (PCNL) and partial orchidectomy.
The successful candidate will contribute to the delivery and development of a high-quality uro-radiology service. Full support will be provided to develop subspecialty expertise and procedural skills. We are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our existing radiology team. The post will be entirely based at Whipps Cross University Hospital, although collaborative working across the Trust will be supported. The applicant should be able to demonstrate excellent general radiology knowledge and have extensive experience in cross-sectional imaging, ultrasound and plain film reporting. Importantly the successful candidate should possess the range of skills, techniques and proficiency required to provide a high-quality uroradiology service including urointerventional procedures to our patients. Research and teaching activities are encouraged and supported by the active academic department and there is a highly successful training programme with registrars.
