Locum Consultant in Diabetes and Endocrinology

We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Consultant to join our established team of Diabetes and Endocrinology specialists, providing high-quality, patient-centred care across North and Mid Hampshire. The successful candidate will join a department of experienced consultants and a growing multidisciplinary team, contributing to the delivery and development of both inpatient and outpatient Diabetes and Endocrinology services. The post holder will provide consultant leadership across Diabetes and Endocrinology services, supporting: Specialist inpatient Diabetes and Endocrinology care General medical ward support within a 25-bedded medical ward Triage of referrals and Advice & Guidance requests Inpatient Diabetes and Endocrine reviews Specialist outpatient clinics in Diabetes, Endocrinology and Diabetic Foot services Multidisciplinary team working alongside specialist nurses, dietitians, resident doctors and wider healthcare professionals Teaching, training and supervision of junior medical staff Clinical governance, audit, quality improvement and service development initiatives There are opportunities to further develop specialist interests including: Young adult and transition services Insulin pump therapy Community integration programmes Sub-specialty endocrinology services Research and innovation projects
