About the role
We are a forward-thinking and dynamic GP practice, committed to providing high-quality care to our patients. We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Salaried GP to join our team for 6/7 sessions per week. We offer a supportive and collaborative working environment, and we're excited to provide an opportunity to be considered for partnership in the future. The surgery has comprehensive administrative support enabling our clinicians to focus on patient care during their 15 minute consultations. We are a Total Triage surgery using SystmOne and in addition use a variety of innovative online consultation tools like Accurx, SystmConnect. The surgery is part of the NIHR East Midlands Research Delivery Network and a Training Practice with North Oxfordshire GP Trainee Scheme.
Key Responsibilities:
Patient Consultations: Manage both routine and urgent appointments via face-to-face and telephone consultations, ensuring safe, evidence-based, and individualised care. Clinical Examinations & Care Plans: Perform comprehensive clinical assessments, addressing both physiological and psychological needs. Develop personalised care plans with timely referrals in line with practice, PCN, and local guidelines. Independent Prescribing: Prescribe independently within your scope of practice, adhering to local or national prescribing guidelines, and promote health strategies that encourage patients to adopt healthier lifestyles. Home Visits: Manage routine and emergency home visits as required. Administrative Responsibilities: Handle routine administrative tasks such as responding to queries, managing repeat prescriptions, reviewing patient test results, and preparing referral letters or correspondence in a timely manner. Clinical Management: Oversee patient care, initiate investigations, review results, and make appropriate referrals to secondary care or other providers, developing treatment plans that align with disease management protocols and NICE guidelines. Collaboration: Work alongside other health and social care providers to ensure integrated care and maintain accurate, up-to-date patient records. Team Support: Support both clinical and administrative staff in maintaining high standards and meeting practice targets.
