About the role
This is a fixed term of 12 months, 10 PA full-time, Joint Post, based at both St Mary's Hospital site, Imperial College NHS Healthcare Trust, and The Royal London Hospital site, Barts Health NHS Trust. Paediatric non-malignant haematology services across both sites provide care for children with complex and long-term conditions, including haemoglobinopathies, bone marrow failure syndromes and patients requiring advance therapies, such as bone marrow transplantation and gene therapy. The service is undergoing a period of exciting expansion, driven by increasing demand, the introduction of gene editing therapies, and the need to strengthen clinical resilience, collaboration and workforce sustainability across sites. This post will be for one year, but will be advertised as a substantive post down the line. Applicants must hold Full and Specialist registration (and with a license to practice) with the General Medical Council (GMC). Candidates should have CCT (or be within 6 months of CCT or equivalent) with subspecialty accreditation FRCPath (or equivalent in Paediatric Haemato-Oncology). Applicants that are non-UK trained will be required to show evidence or equivalence to the UK CCT. Applicants should have a suitable qualification and strong interest in paediatric haematology and bone marrow transplantation.
