Specialty Doctor in Urology

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Specialty Doctor to join the expanding Urology team at Blackpool Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. This post offers the opportunity to work alongside a recently expanded consultant workforce within a purpose-built diagnostic urology unit located in the Trust's modern Surgical Centre. The successful candidate will gain broad exposure to a comprehensive range of urological services, including diagnostic urology, endourology, stone disease, continence surgery, open and laparoscopic procedures, and emergency urology. The post holder will play a key role in delivering high-quality elective and emergency urological care, undertaking diagnostic procedures such as cystoscopy, TRUS biopsies and urodynamic studies, while supporting the ongoing development of the department's emergency urology service. The role includes participation in the on-call rota and provides excellent opportunities for professional development, service improvement, teaching and research.
