Senior Clinical Fellow - Anaesthetics

The Anaesthetic department at Kings is delighted to advertise this SCF in Anaesthesia post to cover for a period of 6 months with option to extend. This post is aimed primarily at senior anaesthetic trainees, or qualified anaesthetists wishing to gain experience in a broad range of anaesthesia as well as further experience in regional anaesthesia. We deliver anaesthesia for a range of general and subspecialty areas including Neurosurgery, Cardiothoracics, Hepatobiliary, Endocrine, Maxillofacial, Liver Transplant, General Surgery, Orthopaedics, Paediatrics and Major Trauma. This post would be suitable for any Doctor looking for a senior fellowship. Although this Senior Clinical Fellow post is not accredited for training, the appointee will be expected to participate fully in the educational and training programmes within the Department and the Hospital. The appointee will have a named educational supervisor and be expected to undergo annual review and appraisal. Annual leave and Study leave is commensurate with other post foundation doctors.

Integral to these responsibilities is the following: - The provision of a first-class clinical service. Effective leadership to all staff engaged in the specialty. Sustaining and developing teaching and research in conjunction with King's College London / KHP. Undertaking all work in accordance with the Trust's procedures and operating policies. Conducting clinical practice in accordance with contractual requirements and within the parameters of the Trust's service plans. Maintaining the confidence of business plans and development strategies formulated for the specialty, the Care Group or the Trust.
