We are a friendly, well-organised GP practice looking to appoint a Salaried GP for 4 sessions until 31st March 2027. This is an excellent opportunity for a GP seeking stability, flexibility, and a supportive working environment. 4 sessions per week (days to be negotiated) Salaried GP post for up to 9 months Routine GP duties including telephone and face-to-face consultations for acute and routine appointments. All patients are triaged by a duty GP prior to booking, ensuring only appropriate and relevant cases are scheduled into your clinic. 15minute appointment slots, 12 per session Manage acute, chronic, and complex conditions in line with GMC, and NICE guidance. Review test results, hospital correspondence, prescriptions, and clinical tasks. Work collaboratively with our clinical and administrative teams to maintain safe, effective and responsive care. Accurately record all consultations using EMIS Web. Support continuity of care, safeguarding, and high clinical standards. Supported by a strong multidisciplinary team including nursing staff, pharmacists, and care coordinators
Parkgate Surgery is a 5-partner GP practice based in Ormskirk, West Lancashire, a market town and home to Edge Hill University. We operate across two sites and provide care for nearly 10,000 patients. Our population includes a high proportion of frail and elderly patients. We have a dedicated Care Co-ordinator who is the first point of contact for all palliative care patients, ensuring well-coordinated, compassionate care. We are a digitally forward-thinking practice, using a total triage model and cloud-based telephony to support modern access to General Practice. We recognise the pressures of general practice and actively prioritise staff wellbeing, holding regular Practice Meetings and working closely with our Patient Participation Group. We are a training practice, hosting medical students from Edge Hill University and GP registrars, and are proud of our supportive learning environment. We are part of a successful PCN, making full use of and supporting ARRS roles. We were rated Outstanding by the CQC at our last inspection and consistently achieve high QOF scores, supported by a successful weekly MDT meeting with local agencies.
