Paediatric Consultant in Neonatology and Paediatric Dermatology

We are advertising a substantive, fulltime 10 PA consultant post in General Paediatrics at University Hospitals Birmingham with an exciting opportunity to join our Paediatric Dermatology Team Acute duties will be primarily based at Good Hope Hospital, with elective duties delivered across Birmingham Heartlands and Solihull sites within the Trust. Prior specialist experience in Paediatric Dermatology is not essential, as we have a planned program of development for the appointee with the support of the Dermatology MDT University Hospitals Birmingham is a leading centre for Clinical Research and Innovation. Clinical Services- Good Hope Hospital The Good Hope site includes: *A 12-bed Paediatric Assessment and Inpatient Unit supporting GP referrals and a busy Emergency Department *A Level 1 Neonatal Unit admitting babies of greater than 32 weeks gestation and supporting a maternity service at Good Hope Hospital with approximately 4,500 deliveries per year. We work closely with the Level 3 Neonatal Service at Birmingham Heartlands Hospital with transfer of preterm infants of less than 32 weeks gestation and those requiring intensive care. *The successful applicant will join a team of 10 paediatric consultants based at GHH *Integrated cross-site working between Good Hope and Birmingham Heartlands inpatient unit *A full middle-grade and first-tier rota providing robust resident support
