2 x POSTS CONSULTANT IN KIRKLEES Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Folly Hall Mills, St Thomas Road, Huddersfield, HD1 3LT Permanent, full time, 10 Programmed Activities per week plus on-call (part time may be considered) South West Yorkshire Partnership Foundation Trust are recruiting for a Consultant Psychiatrist to join the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Team based at Folly Hall Mills, Huddersfield. This role plays a vital part in ensuring our patients receive the care that they need and will be an integral role within the CAMHS service.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and dynamic Consultant Psychiatrist who is passionate about providing timely services in outpatient setting and ensuring safe and effective interventions are delivered to our vulnerable population. The CAMHS outpatient team comprises of neurodevelopmental, learning disabilities , crisis, eating disorders pathways and core CAMHS comprising of multidiscipline with good skill set . The Consultant will work with all the disciplines of the team, and with external agencies within the child's network, to provide assessments, consultation, advice, and support to ensure the best possible clinical outcomes for young people presenting to our service. Person specification

Essential

MB BS or equivalent medical qualification.
Smart professional appearance.
Able to deliver undergraduate or postgraduate teaching and training.
Ability to work in and lead team.
Demonstrate commitment to shared leadership and collaborative working to deliver improvement.
Participated in continuous professional development.
Participated in research or service evaluation.
Able to use and appraise clinical evidence.
Has actively participated in clinical audit and quality improvement programmes.
Fully registered with the GMC and have a licence to practise or Must have checked GMC eligibility and commenced the application process at the time of NHS jobs application.
Included on the GMC Specialist Register for Child and Adolescent Psychiatry OR within six months of gaining CCT
Approved clinician status OR able to achieve within three months of appointment.
Approved under S12 OR able to achieve within three months of appointment.
Holds and will use valid UK driving licence OR provides evidence of proposed alternative.
Excellent knowledge in specialty.
Excellent clinical skills using bio-psycho-social perspective and wide medical knowledge.
Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
Able to manage clinical complexity and uncertainty.
Makes decisions based on evidence and experience including the contribution of others.
Able to meet duties under MHA and MCA.
Able to provide clinical leadership to a multi-professional team and liaise with a wide variety of agencies.

Desirable

Qualification or higher degree in medical education, clinical research or management.
MRCPsych.
Additional clinical qualifications.
Able to plan and deliver undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and training relevant to this post.
Reflected on purpose of CPD undertaken.
Experienced in clinical research and / or service evaluation.
Evidence of achievement in education, research, audit and service improvement: awards, prizes, presentations and publications.
Has led clinical audits leading to service change or improved outcomes to patients.
