Full time - 10 sessions per week (Plus 1.5PAs - Total 11.5PAs) Permanent Post This post is for a Specialty Doctor in Burns & Plastics Surgerywith an emphasis on the management of skin cancer and general plastic surgery and peripheral site commitments alongside one of the Consultant team and a Plastics Surgical First Assistant. This is a whole-time permanent post offering an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated Surgeon looking to progress their career in burns, plastics and reconstructive surgery to join a dynamic, rapidly expanding team delivering multidisciplinary acute care in Mersey and West Lancashire Teaching Hospitals. Successful applicants will have the opportunity to independently manage local and general anaesthetic lists. Knowledge of the latest guidelines for the management of skin cancers, including the role of SLNB for melanoma and Merkel Cell Carcinoma is essential, as well as a willingness to participation in skin MDTs both locally and at peripheral sites.
To assist Consultants and Specialist Doctors with patient management. The successful candidate will assist with the day to day running of the service and to supervise, help and instruct the junior doctors as part of the team. Duties will include at outpatient clinics and operating lists, attendance on other departmental activities e.g., Audit M&M meetings.
