Salaried GP - maternity cover

Haverhill Family Practice is looking for a part-time salaried GP to work for our friendly, busy, town-centre practice, to cover maternity leave for between 9 to 12 months. The salaried GP is responsible for providing medical care and services to the practice population, managing a clinical caseload and dealing with a diverse range of health needs.

This will include, but is not limited to: Face to face and telephone consultations (including e-consult) Home visits Administration Complying with the practices contracts (PMS/enhanced services) Education and training of junior/trainee clinical staff Practise evidence-based medicine, in line with national and locally agreed guidelines Conduct patient consultations during the practices clinical appointment hours Undertake duty consultations on a rota basis Triage patients presenting to the practice in person, by telephone and E-Consults Check and sign repeat prescription requests Check, manage and process patient test results Prescribe in line with local and national guidelines
