About the role
The posts are full-time, based at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Woolwich site (QEH), one of the main hospital sites of Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust (LGT). Successful applicants can choose to work either as fixed term (12 months) or substantively. Candidates will work 9 months in AMU/GIM and can express a preference as to which other departments they would like to work with for up to 3 months. We will endeavour to accommodate candidate's specialty requests as much as possible but cannot guarantee this. The successful applicant will be given a dedicated Consultant Clinical Supervisor to oversee their time at LGT.
The successful candidate can work in one of several medical specialties, depending on the needs of the applicant and demands of the department. Participation in the general medical on-call rota is optional. We can provide experience in frailty, respiratory, neurology, diabetes and endocrine, acute medicine or general medicine. All posts are supervised by a specialist consultant. There is regular teaching that the successful applicant will be able to attend.
