Consultant in General Adult Psychiatry IMHT Burton

We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Community Consultant in General Adult Psychiatry to join the East Staffordshire Integrated Mental Health Team (IMHT) based in Burton on Trent.

This role covers the East Staffordshire IMHT, comprising of one Primary Care Networks (PCNs); East Staffordshire, population134749.The post provides Consultant Psychiatrist cover for the whole IMHT, and the post holder will offer assessment and treatment to adults of working age with a range of mental health problems.

The East Staffordshire population is highly diverse, and we routinely work with individuals from a wide range of ethnic, cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds. We are committed to delivering culturally responsive and person-centred care, adapting our interventions to meet individual needs. We also work collaboratively with partner agencies and community organisations to provide additional support and improve access to services for individuals with specific cultural, social or community-based needs.

Our multidisciplinary team is made up of a Consultant Psychologist, two Principal Psychologists, two CAPS Workers and two CBT Therapists, bringing together a broad range of expertise to support the complex needs of our service users.The team also has a unique multidisciplinary structure that supports our Consultants in delivering ESCAs. This includes two Advanced Clinical Practitioners (ACPs), Non-Medical Prescribers (NMPs), a Nurse Consultant, and a Pharmacist.
