About the role
Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust are seeking to appoint a 10 Programmed Activity locum Consultant in Diabetes and General Medicine, to be based at the University Hospital Lewisham site as part of the development of the new general medical model and the development of the diabetes service inclusive of foot, antenatal, type 1 diabetes and community diabetes services. The successful candidate will be offered a 10 PA, 12 month fixed term contract with Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust. The contract will be held by the Trust.
The post is for a whole-time (10 PA) Consultant Physician with a focus on delivering diabetes services and covering acute intake medical work, and providing ongoing care to patients admitted on the take. The post will be based at University Hospital Lewisham. This post has scope to become a substantive post. The job plan will be negotiated between the consultant and the Divisional Director at least annually. A Responsible Officer for Appraisal and Revalidation will be allocated to the post holder, and engagement with these processes will be a requirement of this post. The appointee will be given an office space and computer/laptop to facilitate all work and will be supported by the department's secretaries.
