Essential

MRCP (UK) or equivalentrecognisedpostgraduate qualification
CCT or CESR in Acute/Internal Medicine and Diabetes & Endocrinology (or within 6 months of interview date)
Full registration with the General Medical Council (GMC) withlicencetopractise(or eligibility to obtain prior to start date)
Demonstrable experience within the last 3 years of working in acute medicine, including participation in the acute medical take, leadership of post-take ward rounds, and assessment and triage of acutely unwell patients within an Acute Medical Unit or equivalent acute assessment service
Experience of managing complex acute medical patients, including independent decision-making in inpatient and ambulatory settings
Experience of managing endocrine disorders in inpatient and outpatient settings, including assessment, diagnosis, and ongoing specialist management
Evidence of working collaboratively with clinicians, nursing staff, and allied health professionals to deliver coordinated patient care
Evidence of participation in clinical audit or quality improvement activity, including data collection, analysis, and implementation of change
Evidence of supervising junior medical staff, including clinical oversight, provision of feedback, and support for training
Demonstrates ability to communicate complex clinical information clearly and appropriately to patients, relatives, and multidisciplinary teams
Demonstrates ability to manage competing clinical priorities and workload in acute and specialist clinical settings to deliver safe and effective patient care
Evidence of applying clinical governance and patient safety processes in practice, including incident reporting, participation in governance activities, and adherence to clinical standards or guidelines

Desirable

Higher degree (MD, PhD or equivalent)
Experience working in a Same Day Emergency Care (SDEC) or Ambulatory Emergency Care service, including senior clinical decision-making
Experience working in a tertiary endocrine referralcentremanaging complex endocrine conditions
Experience contributing to endocrine multidisciplinary team working (e.g. pituitary, thyroid or neuroendocrine MDTs)
Experience managing endocrine complications of neurosurgical disease or traumatic brain injury.
Experience working collaboratively within specialist endocrine multidisciplinary teams and/or with community or primary care services to support ongoing management and follow-up of chronic disease
Evidence of completing a full audit cycle or equivalent quality improvement project
