Salaried GP (Temporary 6 months)

Ashville Medical Practice are looking to recruit a 4 Session Salaried GP fixed term for 6 months.

We are looking for an enthusiastic fixed term salaried GP for our friendly, forward thinking, highly dedicated, high performing professional team in Barnsley.

Main Duties of the RoleThe successful candidate will: Provide high-quality, patient-centred care through routine and urgent GP consultations. Assess, diagnose, treat, and manage patients presenting with a wide range of acute and chronic medical conditions. Undertake face-to-face, telephone, and online consultations as appropriate. Prescribe safely and effectively in accordance with national and local guidelines. Maintain accurate, timely, and comprehensive clinical records. Participate in the management of long-term conditions and preventative healthcare. Work collaboratively with GP partners, nursing staff, administrative colleagues, and the wider multidisciplinary team to deliver safe and effective care. Make appropriate referrals to secondary care and community services when required. Contribute to clinical governance activities, including audit, quality improvement, and significant event reviews where appropriate. Support the teaching and development of GP trainees and other learners within the practice, where appropriate. Participate in practice meetings and contribute to the ongoing development of services. Work in accordance with GMC guidance, NHS policies, and practice protocols to ensure the highest standards of clinical care.
