About the role
This is an exciting opportunity for a clinically qualified individual to join the growing and dynamic Neurology Department at St George's University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. This post is a locum consultant position in General Neurology, with participation in the acute stroke on-call rota. St George's provides a large-scale secondary and tertiary neurology and stroke service to South-West London and Surrey, delivering comprehensive care across outpatient, inpatient, and acute pathways. The department manages a broad spectrum of neurological conditions and works closely with the Hyperacute Stroke Unit (HASU), acute medicine, neurosurgery, neuro-rehabilitation, and critical care services. The post holder will contribute to general neurology outpatient clinics at our St Georges Site and provide in-reach neurology support to ward-based patients across the hospital, including the Clinical Neurosciences wards. The role also includes participation in clinical audit, quality improvement, and other aspects of clinical governance, as well as supporting ongoing service development.
