Consultant Haematology

This post is for a Consultant Haematologist responsible for delivering comprehensive clinical care to patients with a wide range of blood disorders, including haematological malignancy. The role also involves providing specialist advice on all aspects of haematology to colleagues across the Trust and in Primary Care. The successful applicant will be based at Furness General Hospital, with flexibility to work across Trust sites, including Royal Lancaster Infirmary. Outpatient activity will include general haematology clinics, with the opportunity to develop a sub-specialist interest. Clinics are delivered within oncology units across the three sites, in close proximity to chemotherapy delivery areas. This is a full-time 10 PA post with 2 additional programmed activities (APA), subject to negotiation and reviewed annually through the job planning process.
