About the role
Walsall Healthcare NHS Trust is looking to recruit an enthusiastic, motivated, skilled radiologist to join the radiology team of 13 consultant radiologists, 2 advanced sonographers & 2 consultant reporting radiographers. The successful candidate will have an interest in cross-sectional imaging and should have a specialist interest in paediatric imaging evidenced by at least 1 year of fellowship, 2 years CCT training, or 2 years of consultant-level experience. Wide experience in paediatric imaging procedures is essential. Formal subspecialist training is also highly desirable. The proposed job plan typically is 10 programmes activities. Part time down to 60% (6 programmed activities) will also be considered. The successful candidate would support general and acute radiology reporting in the hospital, CT and MR reporting within their subspecialist interest, and cancer MDT with appropriate preparation time based on their specialist interest. The candidate is also expected to have Ultrasound skills plus some interventional activity in their subspecialist interest and a small amount of plain film reporting. The Trust supports 1.5 SPA for personal development and individual quality with a further negotiable 0.25PA-1PA time for additional activities. If part-time, the SPA would be reduced based on percentage from WTE. the radiology team supports the acute oncall Monday- Friday 0800-2000 hours and weekends/bank holidays 1000-1700 hours.
