Exciting Opportunity for Newly Qualified GPs in Wandsworth PCN We seek 2 newly qualified (within the last 2 years) salaried GPs to joinWandsworth Primary Care Networkon a fixed term salaried GP contract to work 5 sessions a week each to help you maintain a healthy work-life balance. To perform as an autonomous general practitioner working independently with other health care professionals to assess, diagnose and treat the conditions of patients attending within a primary care setting; To provide a full range of medical services as defined in the core GMS Contract, including additional and enhanced services where appropriate; To provide expert professional advice to patients, carers and colleagues whilst maintaining clinical excellence; To screen patients for disease factors and early signs of illness; To develop health management and care plans collaboratively with patients and in line with current best practice; To collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to deliver holistic care; To participate in clinical meetings, audits and quality improvement initiatives; To be professionally accountable and responsible for all elements of clinical practice in accordance with the GMC code of conduct, ensuring the safety of patients and providing a high quality standard of care; The post holder will need to be capable of independent travel across the Network and to work flexibly to meet the needs of the business.

Person specification

Essential

Experidenced GP of 5+ years ( with full GMC registration and license to practice).
Ability to effectively triage, assess and diagnose
Requesting pathology tests and processing the results; advising patients accordingly
Assessing and managing acute deterioration/exacerbations of long-term conditions
Understands the importance of evidence-based practices
Ability to assess and manage patient risk effectively and safely
Broad knowledge of clinical governance
Ability to work within own scope of practice and understanding when to refer to senior GPs
Polite and confident, flexible and cooperative.
Motivated, forward thinker with ability to use own judgement and common sense.
Problem solver with the ability to process information accurately and effectively, interpreting data as required.
High levels of integrity. Sensitive and empathetic in distressing situations.
Ability to work under pressure / in stressful situations.
