Salaried GP

Walker Medical Group is looking for a Salaried GP to join our friendly and experienced team for 4 - 6 sessions per week.

Deliver safe, effective and patient-centred General Practice services. Assess, diagnose and manage acute and long-term conditions. Undertake clinical administration including results, correspondence, referrals and prescriptions. Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to ensure patients are seen by the most appropriate clinician. Participate in the practice on-call rota, proportionate to sessions worked. Triage SystmConnect requests; arranging face to face/telephone consultations or signposting patients to appropriate services. Contribute to clinical governance, quality improvement and practice development.

Walker Medical Group is based in the east end of Newcastle upon Tyne, serving around 11,000 patients. Our broad patient base offers rich opportunities for learning and specialising in various areas of medicine. Our team brings together a diverse group of clinical and non-clinical professionals, working collaboratively to deliver holistic patient care. The clinical team includes Nurse Practitioners, Practice Nurses, Healthcare Assistants, and GPs, supported by a pharmacist and a social prescriber. They are in turn backed by our dedicated administrative and management teams.
