Consultant in Rehab Medicine: Major Trauma & Community Neurorehab

We are pleased to advertise this post that has arisen from our integrated approach to rehab across the acute & community providers in Plymouth who serve the people of Devon & Cornwall using these services. This 10PA post is focussed on supporting the major trauma network, the prosthetic service with additional activities: intrathecal baclofen pump service & community neuro-rehab. Future opportunities to work in the inpatient wards (neuro-rehab & stroke rehab) & spinal pathway can be considered, along with a role in teaching undergraduates as an honorary clinical lecturer. Youll also take a leadership role in developing these services. The 2 main healthcare providers in Plymouth are: University Hospitals Plymouth NHS Trust, the acute hospital that runs most of the inpatient services, & Livewell Southwest, a social enterprise providing integrated health & social care services that also manages some inpatients units (mental health & neuro-rehab). LSW & UHP are on a journey to integration of care pathways through a prime provider contracting model.We want your enthusiasm, ideas & commitment. We want you to help shape this journey, lead & champion rehab services. The right person for the job will have broad rehab medicine skills & a CCT/CESR in rehab medicine with an interest in prosthetics & major trauma.
