About the role
Applications are invited for a Locum Consultant Intensivist within Adult Critical Care at St George's University Hospitals Foundation Trust, London. Clinical work will be based on the Cardiothoracic Intensive Care Unit. There may be the opportunity to contribute to the Critical Care Outreach Service, follow-up clinic as well as to a secondary specialty, subject to negotiation. Job Summary: Post holders will: Provide clinical leadership to a multidisciplinary team delivering Critical Care Engage in associated Service Development, Clinical Governance and Quality Improvement work Contribute to the education and supervision of students and trainees Support Directorate-wide Research activities Contribute to the clinical management of the base unit It is envisaged that the post holder will carry out the majority of their duties as a Consultant Intensivist on the Cardiothoracic Intensive Care Unit. There are opportunities for some DCC time to be allocated to contribute to the General Intensive Care Unit, Critical Care Outreach Service, follow-up clinic or to pursue a secondary clinical speciality. We currently have Consultants who split their time across Anaesthesia, Medical Specialties, St George's Medical School and wider Trust/NHS managerial roles.
