About the role
We are excited to offer an opportunity for a Salaried GP (6 sessions per week) to join South King Street Medical Centre, with the potential for future partnership for the right individual. This role is ideal for a GP looking to work within a stable, well-organised practice that values continuity of care, teamwork, and professional development. You will be joining an established clinical team where there is a strong emphasis on shared decision-making, peer support, and maintaining a manageable workload. Within the role, you will work alongside experienced clinicians across a multidisciplinary team, contributing to both routine and acute care, with the flexibility to develop clinical interests and shape your own career direction. As part of a well-connected Primary Care Network, you will benefit from collaborative working beyond the practice, access to additional roles and expertise, and opportunities to contribute to service development. This position is particularly suited to a GP seeking long-term stability within a supportive environment, with the possibility of progressing to partnership in the future. Deliver high-quality, patient-centred care in line with current clinical guidelines and best practice Carry out consultations via face-to-face, telephone, and video appointments, including home visits where required Participate in on-call duties and triage, supporting the effective management of urgent and same-day demand Work collaboratively with the wider multidisciplinary team and liaise with external organisations involved in patient care Assess, investigate, and refer patients appropriately, ensuring timely and safe clinical decision-making Manage laboratory results, clinical correspondence, and administrative tasks in a timely and efficient manner Provide clinical cover for colleagues during periods of leave Contribute to quality improvement activity, including audits and QOF-related work Maintain excellent communication with patients, carers, and colleagues Attend and participate in clinical meetings, governance activities, and educational sessions Build and maintain strong working relationships with partners and the wider practice team Effectively manage workload, time, and clinical priorities Engage in continuous professional development, including attendance at PLT and mandatory training Identify and report significant events, contributing to a culture of learning and improvement Adhere to safeguarding responsibilities, ensuring concerns are recognised and escalated via appropriate pathways
