Consultant General Surgery with interest in Benign Upper GI/HPB Surg

We are looking for a General Surgery Consultant, with a focus on emergency and upper gastro-intestinal/ hepato-biliary surgery to join a well-functioning team. The post has become available following departure of a consultant colleague. The post holder will undertake initially 10 PAs including 1.5 SPAs and 1 admin PA. On-calls will be at Royal Lancaster Infirmary on a 1 in 8 non-resident basis. Our strong ties with Lancaster University offer great opportunities to get involved with teaching medical students and with research; the launch of the Health Innovation Campus brings us further local opportunity.
