Full GMC registration

MRCP or equivalent

Ability to organise and manage outpatient priorities

Ability to manage and lead a wide range of staff involved in a cohesive Dermatology service

Evidence of formal training in health service management

Previous experience on policy forming committees

Evidence of organising an audit programme

An understanding of research methodology and an ability to interpret research findings

Publications in peer reviewed journals

Evidence of Audit Management

Able to offer an expert opinion on a full range of Dermatological problems

Extensive training in General Internal Medicine and Dermatology

Formal training in Dermatology sub-specialty

Ability to recognise the limits of his/her own clinical competence

Ability to take full and independent responsibility for clinical care of patients

Able to perform within a multi-disciplinary team

Honesty and reliability and personal resilience

Enquiring, constructively critical approach to work

Caring attitude to patients

Ability to communicate effectively with patients, relatives, GPs, nurses, and other agencies
